HERBERT CEMETERY ALSO KNOWN AS OTEPOPO
The Herbert cemetery is off the main road south of Oamaru, on the way to Dunedin, on Mt Charles above the Herbert township. If you have no interest in graves just go for one of the best views of the North Otago countryside. It is breathtaking up there, albiet a bit breezy. Beware the ground is uneven and can be slippery.
So far I have some photos for this very few of those buried or comemorated there.

In no particular order here are a few graves. They range from the very old, with flaked limestone headstones, now sadly unreadable to the modern, setting their own style. This one being a favourite of mine even though I have no connection to the Gibson family. It is awesome.
